How it all started:
Mason is a NYC/NJ based singer, dancer, actor, fitness instructor, and graphic designer cultivating a career in the performing arts. Raised in Marietta, GA, he combines his charisma, artistic vision, and compassion with his extensive training in the performing arts.
Mason has exactly the type of vibe you want in your rehearsal room - this energetic artist is "happy to be here, ready to work!"
With an outstanding background of extensive conservatory training in musical theatre and dance, and over 8 years of professional performing experience under his belt, Mason is ready and eager to bring both his passion, experience, and playfulness into the rehearsal process.
Mason Derreck Lewis graduated from The Cobb County Center of Excellence in the Performing Arts, a nationally accredited performing arts magnet program just outside of Atlanta, Georgia, and went on to study Musical Theatre with a minor in Dance at Point Park University's Conservatory of Performing Arts in Pittsburgh, PA.
Graduating a semester early, Mason was eager to get his professional career started! He went on to perform in the 2017 Broadway National Tour of the Tony Award winning Revival musical, "Pippin". Mason performed in the "Manson Trio", originally choreographed by Bob Fosse and reimagined by the incomparable Chet Walker, in 28 states and parts of Canada. He also was the 1st understudy & went on several times as Pippin, Lewis, and King Charles. After that, Mason was a Singer/Dancer with Norwegian Creative Studios, where he was lucky enough to travel to 37 countries getting to do what he loves most.
After lockdown, Mason went on to join the First National Tour of the Broadway smash hit "The Cher Show." Touring with the original Tony-Award-Winning Bob Mackie designed costumes, Mason performed in over 350 shows & was featured in the ensemble, playing 'Top of The Pops' & Lee the Stage Manager, understudying Bob Mackie, as well as the Dance Captain.
Living in Bloomfield, NJ with his dog Piper and his fiancé, Mason can be found teaching dance, musical theater, & acting at Class Act Performing Arts Studio in South Orange, NJ.
